Sodas for the longest time have been the beverage of choice for teenagers, but new research shows that teens are now substituting sports drinks for sodas. A recent study which appears in the Journal of Pediatrics, indicates that while drinking soda among adolescents has decreased, the intake of sports drinks has slightly increased. Dr. Theresa Nguyen, Assistant Chair of Pediatrics at GBMC, explains the study.
